Artists

Your artwork, our daily weather cards.

Each day W2W features a different artist's work as the backdrop of the weather card — seen by everyone who checks the forecast in their city. You get a permanent credit link in the card footer.

How it works

Three steps

  1. 1You create the artwork using the template specs below and keep the locked text zones free of high-contrast detail.
  2. 2We review it, tag it to one or more weather conditions (clear, rain, clouds, snow…), and schedule it.
  3. 3When that condition occurs in a supported city, your piece goes live. Your name and link appear in every card footer.

Locked zones

These areas are overlaid with W2W UI. Keep them free of critical detail — subtle texture or a soft colour wash works best.

  • Header (top ~12%) — City name + share button
  • Centre (~40%) — Weather icon, status label, delta row, toggle
  • Footer (bottom ~10%) — W2W badge · × Artist · “For artists”

Export as PNG or JPG, sRGB colour space, max 8 MB.

Guidelines

Do / Don't

Do

  • Keep locked zones free of sharp edges or text.
  • Use sRGB colour space.
  • Export as PNG or JPG at 1× resolution.
  • Aim for mood over detail — it will be blurred on desktop.
  • Include your name, handle, and a portfolio link in the email.

Don't

  • Place logos or critical info behind UI text zones.
  • Use extreme noise or high-frequency patterns.
  • Submit CMYK or P3 wide-gamut files.
  • Include watermarks — your footer credit is the attribution.
  • Submit artwork you don't own or have permission to use.
